11th Annual Chefs' Dinner

On January 26th The Food Bank held its 11th Annual Chefs’ Dinner to Fight Hunger at the scenic Stamford Yacht Club. This year’s well deserving honoree was Tim Brown, the Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of Nestlé Waters North America Inc. Gold sponsors of the event were Hitachi Capital America Corp., Grade A ShopRite, and Nestlé Waters North America. In describing Tim Brown’s support for The Food Bank, FB Executive Director Kate Lombardo (pictured here with Tim Brown) stated that "his wonderful philanthropic example has motivated his employees to conduct food drives and volunteer hundreds of community service hours a year at The Food Bank’s warehouse store."
The sold out crowd was treated to a sumptuous five course meal that was preceded by a cocktail hour with seven appetizer stations, each dish prepared by a different well known, successful chef. The participating chefs – all of whom volunteered their time – were Bryan Malcarney (Rory’s Restaurant), Julio Genao (Prime), Stephen Lewandowski (Harlan Social), David Galin (The Boothbay Harbor Lobster Co.), Stephen Costanzo (Olio), Lisa and Stephen Maronian (Sweet Lisa’s Exquisite Cakes), Michael Marchetti (Columbus Park Trattoria), Francois Kwaku-Dongo (David’s Soundview Catering), Chris Dall’au (Have A Ball NYC), Charlie Lim (Sushi Village Caterers), and Judith Roll (Tabouli Grill and Judy’s Bar & Kitchen).
