Host a Food Drive

Whether you're an individual, a company, a school, or a community group, hosting a food drive is a powerful way to fight hunger in our community. Every item you collect, whether virtually or physically, helps provide nutritious meals to families and individuals in need.

Option 1: The Modern & Easy Way - Host a #GiveHealthy Food Drive

We partner with #GiveHealthy to offer an easy and fun  way to support our food bank. It's easy to set up, highly flexible, and each donation is delivered directly to The Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County.

Option 2: The Traditional Way - Host a Physical Food Drive

If you prefer a hands-on approach, a traditional physical food drive is a great option. Collecting non-perishable items can be a powerful way to engage your community and fill our shelves.

How to Conduct a Physical Food Drive:

Step 1: Plan Your Drive

Establish your food drive's start and end dates, choose a collection location (or several!), and set a goal for your drive. Consider focusing on our most-needed items. Promote your drive through posters, social media, and word-of-mouth to maximize participation.

Step 2: Contact Carolina Mendez to set up your drive.

The Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County can supply you with collection boxes/bins. You can also schedule a convenient pick up following the end of your drive. Please call (203)358-8898 ext 204 or email cmendez@foodbanklfc.org
