How to Run a Food Drive
Want to host a food drive to support our mission of fighting hunger in lower Fairfield County? It's an easy and impactful way to collect much-needed food year-round. While holiday food drives are appreciated, remember that hunger is an everyday reality.
Step 1: Plan Your Drive
Decide whether you will conduct a physical or virtual drive. Establish your food drive's start and end dates, choose a collection location (or several!), and set a goal for your drive. Consider focusing on our most-needed items. Promote your drive through posters, social media, and word-of-mouth to maximize participation.
Step 2: Contact Carolina Mendez to set up your drive.
The Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County can supply you with collection boxes/bins. You can also schedule a convenient pick up following the end of your drive. Please call (203)358-8898 or email
