Your tax deductible donation to The Food Bank exclusively supports those in lower Fairfield County who are at risk for food insecurity. Food insecurity refers to a lack of access, at times, to enough food for an active, healthy life for all household members, and limited or uncertain availability of nutritionally adequate foods. The average cost of a meal in Fairfield County is $3.31, among the highest in Connecticut. By using your monetary donation to purchase food in large volumes at wholesale cost, The Food Bank provides nutritionally beneficial food to its member agencies and their programs at a cost that is far less.
$.94 of every $1.00 donated goes directly to support The Food Bank's mission of feeding the hungry and raising public awareness about hunger in our community.
The Food Bank does not sell or share donor information with other organizations.
